Is It Common To Have Low Blood Pressure With High Cholesterol?

I’m a 31 yr old female with pretty low bp and pretty high cholesterol…do these have anything to do with each other?

  1. they don’t necessarily have anything to do with eachother. you could be generally healthy but have high cholesterol from genetics. high cholesterol could possibly eventually be related to high blood pressure (as it can hardens the veins so they aren’t as reactive). no relation between the two now though

  2. No. Usually it will end up that you will have increased B.P. as you get older, because the plaque deposits from the increased cholesterol thicken the insides of your arteries making it harder for you heart to do it’s job. Now the other thing to look at is if your on meds for the cholesterol, some of them can decrease your blood pressure as well as your cholesterol.

  3. yes they are both seperate illnesses
