Is Garlic Good For Blood Pressure And What Should I Take For Lowering My Cholesterol Which Is 6.8?

My Blood Pressure is sometimes high but not all of the time, for this reason i dont want to take any medication. I heard garlic suppose to be good for blood pressure. Also i have high cholesterol for many years and it does seem to be going down. I dont eat a lot of fat and dont like dairy product (dont drink milk or like cheese). I do however like to drink half a bottle of sweet wine every day.Is this why my cholesterol is so high. Waiting for your reply. Thanks.

  1. Not sure why your Cholesterol is so high, but i would speak to your GP and accept some anti-cholesterol tablets to help you reduce your score.
I would also try to eat oats and lots of fresh vegatables and fruit.
Cholesterol DOES have a part ot play in heart disease, strokes and other conditions. The condition called Atherosclerosis, is when Athroma – fatty deposits caused by cholesterol builds up on the walls of the Arteries and makes them narrow. Should a blood clot occur it will get stuck in the narrowing…. causing problems such as heart attack or stroke.
My advice is to go to the doctor to get some Cholesterol tablets and ask to be referred to a dietician for some advice on what foods are the best to eat.
    Good Luck!

  2. Garlic is good for you. I think Cheerios are good for cholesterol. Stay away from eating alot of eggs too.

Garlic makes your arteries stronger and more pliable (for the want of a better word) so helps protect against ruptured arteries; which I suspect is probably something that you don’t want.
There is a natural remedy for all blood pressure problems in the form of a weed called Green Buckwheat (Not sure about the spelling). You can get Green Buckwheat tablets from good health food shops, just follow the directions.
In truth you should address your high blood pressure problem. Do you eat a lot of salt, if so cut down (but slowly though!) Do you suffer a lot of stress, if so either remove the stressors or sprinkle some Chamomile Roman essential oil around your house to reduce the stress that you’re feeling. Put some on a hanky for when you’re feeling really stressed.
    Hope this helps.

  5. Half a bottle of wine a day is bad for somebody with high cholesterol, it can also lead to other health problems with liver and kidneys.

Garlic is good for lowering cholesteral.
To lower your blood pressure you would need to increase your amount of excercise and loose any excess weight you have, stop smoking, only drink in moderation.
Half a bottle of wine a day is not a good idea, you’ll end up with another propblem if you keep at that

  7. ishould think wine woould affect your blood pressuure not your collestral

  8. certain nuts help lower cholestrol especially pistachios, almonds, macadamias which contain lutein that reduces cholesterol. Also walnuts which contain angine as well this helps keep arteries flexible

  9. dont know about the blood pressure but try cheerios cereal for the cholesterol
