  1. I have the same problem. My doctor had me start on omega-3 fish oil capsule. 2 capsules twice a day. They are purified, so you don’t have to worry about mercury poisoning.

  2. having a higher HDL helps to clear out the LDL and avoid heart disease… try to avoid all saturated fats, trans fats and cholesterol in foods…. look for foods with monounsaturated fats like nuts.. also eat lots of whole grains and other soluble fibers.. and stay active!

  3. Eat foods with omega-3 fatty acids. These include fish (salmon, sardines, mackerel, tuna, halibut) and walnuts. Foods with omega-3 fatty acids have been found in research to be effective in raising HDL (”good”) cholesterol.

  4. How to increase your HDL Levels
    • Aerobic exercise
    • Lose weight
    • Stop smoking
    • Cut out the trans fatty acids
    • Alcohol – 1 to 2 oz per day
    • Increase the monounsaturated fats in your diet
    • Add soluble fiber to your diet
    • Drink Cranberry Juice
    • Fish and other foods containing omega-3 fatty acids

  5. oily fish like mackerel herring sardines have the right kinds of oils to increase HDL. but only 2-3 portions per week in case of pollution derived toxins and it doesn’t always work. Exercise can help with overall fitness and burns fats.

  6. You reduce ur oil cosumption. Sunflower oil is best. Avoid fast food. Use nonstick 2 cook. Use more garlic. Avoid nonveg. If u want u can take fish which has omega 2 fatty acid. Take almond or walnuts. Go 4 exercise. Avoid use of vehicles in short distance. Its enviornment & pocket friendly.
