How Are The Concentrations Of Ldl And Hdl Associated With The Risk For Heart Disease?
Low density lipoprotein:-
<100 mg/dL (190 mg/dL (>4.9 mmol/L) Very high LDL level, corresponding to highest increased risk of heart disease.
High-density lipoprotein:-
<40 mg/dL for men, <50 mg/dL for women (60 mg/dL (>1.55 mmol/L) High HDL level, optimal condition considered protective against heart disease.
Triglyceride level- This test is often done to determine your risk of developing heart disease. A high triglyceride level may lead to atherosclerosis, which increases your risk of heart attack and stroke.
Persons with high triglycerides often have other conditions such as diabetes and obesity that also increase the chances of developing heart disease.
The triglyceride level is usually included in a coronary risk (lipid) profile.

LDL cholesterol (cholesterol low density lipoprotein) is also called “bad cholesterol”. When there is too much LDL cholesterol in the blood, it accumulates on the inner wall of blood vessels and prevents blood from flowing freely. The result is an increased risk of heart disease and stroke.
HDL cholesterol (cholesterol, high density lipoprotein) is also called “good cholesterol”. It helps to remove LDL cholesterol from blood vessel walls, thereby reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke.
ldl or low density lipoproteins are the emerg crew for your arteries. when you have an inflammation in your arteries ldl rushes there and clings to the arterial wall to create a kind of healing scab. it needs to stay there until the inflammation is healed. then hdl comes along and gently removes the ldl and disposes of it.
your liver makes 90% of your cholesterol. Every cell in your body requires it.
heart disease is a result of too many abrasions in the arteries, ie: too much ldl working away trying to heal you.
the build up of all that waxy human band aid causes blockage and eventually high blood pressure happens because the heart has to pump that much harder to get through the waxy mess
that’s my heavily edited answer.
boom! heart attack!
guess what you can do to avoid this?
stop eating foods that cause the flare ups then your body won’t have to be in constant repair mode.
ask your doctor:
if i only eat pure foods, no sugar, no processed foods and limit my meat choices to organic grass fed meats and dairy
wild fish instead of farmed
no alcohol, no cigarettes and only organic black coffee
can i stop my meds?
do you know what the answer would be?
i do.
your doctor will say:
Well yes that would be true but who’s going to change their life that drastically?
and your answer should be:
ME
try to be informed about your food choices it will change your life
all the best
